The term ‘Channel in a Box’ just doesn’t do justice to the automation, functionality and integration modern systems incorporate in order to help broadcasters tackle their complex playout challenges. The Channel in a Box TV industry should really be split into two very different streams — the more traditional single box solution and the superior, integrated playout approach.

QVC does not run live programming between 2am and 9am, so prior to overnight service consisted of hour-long taped repeat shows broadcast exactly as the were originally recorded.
QVC's Paul Murphy: "We quickly realised that we could extend the BIPS system to handle this problem, as we could pick products from the centralised digital library at individual product level, checking the price and available stock in realtime, thereby creating a more powerful offering for our customers during overnight hour transmissions.”

With several successful installations up and running at different MTV Networks locations and channels across Europe, the new NEXUS platform has already proven to be a big success. In most cases one or more PubliTronic products are incorporated in (existing) external infrastructures. In this particular project MTVN is using Mediator from Pharos for end-to-end content management.

QVC announced the launch of the Beauty Channel – the first television channel in the UK dedicated to beauty programming. 

The Beauty Channel is played out and managed by a specialist broadcast planning, asset management and transmission system which was developed in partnership with PubliTronic, using their playout server and customised Cobalt control software.

As of today we have a new website, as you must have noticed when you navigated to it for the first time.
The aim for the new website was to make even more information accessible to both our customers, distributors and the general visitor.
